Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to provide exceptional care in a dynamic hospital environment. This role focuses on the management of post-operative and medical patients, ensuring high standards of patient care.

Certification Requirements
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
Job Responsibilities
  • Work in a hospital setting in need of Med-Surg travel RNs.
  • Administer care to post-operative and medical patients.
  • Required to titrate intravenous drips.
  • Experience with cardiac drips is preferred.
  • May assume Charge Nurse responsibilities and participate in cross-training.
Work Schedule
  • Shifts available from 6:45 am - 7:15 pm or 6:45 pm - 7:15 am.
  • Scheduling managed by the Director or floor manager.
  • Block scheduling is permitted based on unit requirements.
  • Every other weekend and holiday rotation required.
Unit Information
  • Unit: 5 Pavilion - Med-Surg Tele.
  • Common patient diagnoses include Surgical, Orthopedic, Urology, and Medical; focusing on adult and geriatric populations.
  • Heparin administration based on established protocols; cardiac drip experience is advantageous.
  • Nurses are required to titrate drips.
  • Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1 to 10.
  • Orientation specific to the unit will be provided.
Additional Information
  • Charge Nurse will have a modified patient assignment.
  • House Supervisor available around the clock.
  • Traveling nurses may be required to float to other units as needed.
  • Dress Code: Navy scrubs for RNs/LPNs, Dark Grey/Pewter for C.N.As/Monitor Techs, solid color scrubs.
