Job Description

As a Radiation Therapist II, you will work under the general supervision of a designated supervisor and Radiation Oncologists to administer radiation therapy to patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Administering radiation therapy treatments to patients, ensuring accuracy and precision in every step of the process.
  • Assisting in the simulation of treatment plans, using immobilization devices and treatment aids as needed.
  • Collaborating with the treatment planning team to perform dosimetry calculations and ensure accurate reproduction of the treatment area.
  • Maintaining daily records and documents of each patient's treatment, ensuring charts are assembled in a timely manner and contain all necessary information.
  • Performing weekly verification of patient treatment sites to ensure ongoing accuracy.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Licensure in radiation therapy technology as required by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA).
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Board certification.
  • One year (12 months) of full-time work experience in radiation therapy comparable to a Radiation Therapist I level of this series.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $48.68-$58.18 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, we provide opportunities for professional growth and development, including ongoing education and training programs.

Estimated Salary: $96,000 - $115,000 per year
