Job Summary

At Pendulum, LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and secure software systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software systems using Linux, Splunk, and cloud-based technologies.
  • Perform cloud analytics, architecture, development, support, and operations and maintenance (O&M) for our enterprise systems.
  • Provide Linux operating system administration and operations and maintenance (O&M) and Nessus support to maintain sustainability and reliability of systems and applications.
  • Develop and support software applications using Java, JavaScript, C/C++, MySQL, and SQL Server.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software systems.

Requirements

  • On-the-job experience in a Systems Engineering or Systems Architecture role.
  • Managing Linux hosts such as RHEL or CENTOS in an enterprise environment.
  • Puppet, Splunk, Jira, Confluence, and Jenkins.
  • Deploying worldwide enterprise solutions.
  • Installing, configuring, and managing Linux operating systems.
  • Working with AWS-based solutions.
  • Configuring and troubleshooting network components.
  • Implementing operating systems enhancements.
  • Prototyping enterprise-scale solutions.
  • Writing scripts in Bash and Python.
  • Executing shell scripts.
  • Deploying applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • VMWare and RAID configurations.
  • Cloud infrastructure and technologies.
  • Cloudwatch.
  • Atlassian Suite of tools.
  • Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
  • Using the command line to interact with LDAP repositories.
  • XML schemas.
  • Organization's systems lifecycle.

Certifications

  • Red Hat System Certified Administrator.
  • VMWare Certified Professional.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
