About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Network Engineer I to join our team as a summer intern. As a Network Engineer I, you will be responsible for working with our embedded software stacks, implementing streaming telemetry dashboards, and utilizing AI/ML techniques to analyze streaming telemetry results and improve customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with experienced network engineers, test engineers, and data analysts to foster teamwork and boundary-pushing contributions.
  • Work with engineers to create streaming telemetry applications, collect, visualize, and analyze data, create demos and presentations.
  • Develop and implement streaming telemetry dashboards to identify patterns and improve customer experience.
  • Utilize AI/ML techniques to analyze streaming telemetry results and provide insights to improve customer experience.
Requirements
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited College or University graduating with a bachelor's degree between December May 2026.
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program.
  • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for Charter Sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Programming skills such as Python, C/C++, shell scripting, and app development skills.
  • Basic IP, TCP/QUIC, HTTP networking knowledge, packet capturing, and network performance analysis.
  • Data analysis via machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  • Embedded Software Stacks, Cablelabs Low Latency DOCSIS, and IETF L4S specifications.
  • SNMP MIBS, IPDR telemetry, OpenMetrics, Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Familiarity with popular latency-sensitive gaming applications.
