Opportunity Overview:

VOLT Management is seeking a Senior EPC Scheduling Specialist to oversee planning and scheduling functions during the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain engineering, procurement, and construction schedules, ensuring thorough monitoring and impact assessment.
  • Conduct EPC phase reporting and analysis, focusing on P6 schedule quality metrics.
  • Support planning studies, forecasts, and project optimization initiatives during the EPC phase.
  • Guide engineering teams in creating and maintaining comprehensive project schedules as well as detailed short-term schedules.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Project Controls, and external stakeholders to integrate and sequence engineering activities into the Integrated Master Control Schedule (IMCS) managed in Primavera P6.
  • Facilitate the establishment of cross-system and cross-project logic ties within the schedule.
  • Assist in negotiating transitions between stakeholders regarding technical content and schedules, while also facilitating workaround planning.
  • Lead the creation and organization of engineering scope schedule fragnets for planning and estimating, ensuring their integration into the IMCS.
  • Oversee project management efforts, conducting integrated reviews of planned work and compiling three-week look-ahead activities.
  • Review scheduled EPC phase activities to confirm alignment with project milestones.
  • Analyze schedule resource loading and leveling, including bulk commodity design and procurement.
  • Evaluate critical paths and constraints to assess the impact of progress changes on the schedule, recommending solutions to meet baseline milestones.
  • Develop contingency scenarios and recovery plans in response to project delays and change requests.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma with extensive professional experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of CPM scheduling and advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 software.
  • Experience in schedule preparation, monitoring, and reporting within engineering, procurement, and construction settings.
  • Proficient in using computers for executing work processes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with engineering and construction management principles gained through education or practical experience.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently prepare and review planning and scheduling products with minimal supervision.
