Palo Verde Community College District is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for students, faculty, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and maintain all areas of the college, including classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
- Operate various cleaning equipment and machinery, including floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, and carpet shampooers.
- Restock supplies and materials as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and unclogging drains.
- Assist with special events and projects as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of related work experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and push/pull heavy equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
The Custodian will work in a variety of environments, including classrooms, offices, and common areas. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision. The Custodian will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols.
