At TriStar Summit Medical Center, we offer a challenging and rewarding career opportunity as an Emergency Room Nurse. This role provides a chance to make a real impact in the lives of patients and their families.
The successful candidate will work in a 50-bed Emergency Room that primarily cares for higher acuity patients, including 8 trauma bays. We have 10 low-acuity spaces for our fast-track area.
This position offers a great pathway for nurses interested in growing into other nursing positions, such as Trauma, Float Pool, Inpatient Rehab, PCU, ICU, or educator roles or leadership positions.
Job SummaryThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator assumes responsibility for direction and coordination of all functions in the unit on their designated shifts. They collaborate with other members of the management team to assess the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.
Responsibilities- A comprehensive assessment of patients' conditions and development of individualized plans of care.
- Creation and maintenance of accurate, detailed reports and records.
- Consultation and coordination with healthcare team members to implement, evaluate, and modify the plan of care as indicated by the patient's responses and conditions.
- Delegation of nursing tasks as appropriate and safe while retaining accountability for patient care.
- Providing individualized education for patients, families, and caregivers throughout the continuum of care.
To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess:
- RN licensure by the Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state.
- An Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- ACLS and PALS within 1 year of employment.
- CPI within 6 months of employment.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as an Emergency Room Nurse.

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
