Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team at KnowHireMatch. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for providing support to the Project Manager and Project Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire, organize, review, and distribute project submittals, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Assist with schedule preparations and updates, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Manage relationships and work with assigned sub-contractors and suppliers, fostering strong partnerships and ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced Project Engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Communicate effectively with owners, addressing project-related matters and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Prepare and maintain technical submittal lists, NPDES permits, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans, and Project Progress Schedules, as required.
  • Obtain pricing from subcontractors and vendors, including change orders, and calculate pricing for contracts and purchase orders.
  • Schedule subcontractor work and supplier material deliveries, ensuring efficient project execution.
  • Assist with monthly billing, cash flow projections, and change order processing, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely payments.
  • Maintain a highly organized work area, adhering to company standards and best practices.
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and project documents, presenting information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Present information effectively to customers, clients, and employees, promoting clear communication and understanding.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field.
  • Three or more years of related experience, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Primavera 6, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
