**Job Summary:**

At Rady Children's Hospital, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will play a vital role in examining and caring for children with eye problems. Your responsibilities will include performing skilled eye examinations, working with clinical staff to ensure efficient clinical flow, and providing daily patient care.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Conduct thorough eye examinations, including medical history, visual acuity, lensometry, tonometry, and orthoptics
* Work collaboratively with clinical staff to maintain a smooth and efficient clinical environment
* Provide exceptional patient care and support
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

**Requirements:**

* High School Diploma or Equivalent
* 1 Year of Experience as an Ophthalmic Assistant or Equivalent
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Associate's Degree
* Ophthalmic Assistant Certification (JCAHPO)
* Previous experience in a clinical setting
