Fairview Health Services provides comprehensive Imaging services around the clock for both pediatric and adult patients. Our MRI technologists work in synergy with the Imaging team and various levels of clinical practitioners.
We are currently seeking an MRI Technologist to enhance our MRI services. The typical schedule for this role will be evenings, Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and prioritize tasks to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

- Clearly communicate essential data to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

- Verify patient identification and documentation.
- Educate patients regarding pertinent information throughout the examination process.
- Achieve quality diagnostic images through proper patient positioning and technical factors in accordance with established protocols.
- Apply professional guidelines and standards to various diagnostic testing procedures.
- Ensure the integrity of patient data.
- Adhere to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols.
- Document accurately in compliance with regulatory requirements, including scheduling and billing updates.
- Follow infection control protocols.
- Serve as a resource for other healthcare team members.
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations.
- Perform accurate image marking and digital image management.
- Assess the validity of test results in relation to physiological changes or potential interfering substances.
- Act as a resource for problem-solving and resolution.
- Complete all required continuing education to maintain imaging licensure.
- Engage as an active team member.
- Participate in departmental and facility quality improvement initiatives.
- Take responsibility for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge for the position.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and supplies.
- Provide integrated services with customers and care partners to ensure high-quality care.
- Contribute to a positive work environment.
- Operate equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines.
- Identify and address equipment issues to ensure proper functionality.
- Maintain a high level of competency and adhere to MRI safety protocols.
- Embrace new technology as it is introduced.
- Participate in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and manufacturer recommendations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Current Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited organization.
- Meet MRI Safety Screening requirements.
Preferred:
- Prior MRI experience (1+ years).
- ARRT MRI certification or successful completion within 18 months of hire.
- Experience with Epic/Radiant systems.
- Understanding of current ACR Guidelines for MRI Safety.
- Knowledge of MRI quality control and safety standards.
