The Patient Access team is dedicated to maintaining the integrity of data entry, encompassing both demographic and financial details for each patient account.
The responsibilities of the Patient Access staff include adhering to various procedural protocols, which involve collecting essential data elements, verifying insurance coverage, obtaining necessary authorizations for services, and managing collections for patient responsibilities, including any outstanding balances. Effective communication with patients, families, healthcare providers, insurance representatives, and third-party payers is essential.
Key Qualifications:
- Proficient in basic computer operations.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Exemplary customer service skills.
- Outstanding organizational and communication capabilities.
- Completion of the core educational program, "Excellence at the Front End," is required within the first year of employment.
- Preferred: One year of experience in hospital registration or a similar role.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
