Job Opportunity: Phlebotomist

This is a contract job opportunity with potential for permanent placement.

Job Details:
  • Location: Moncks Corner, SC
  • Schedule: 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with rotation schedule for weekends (usually one weekend a month)
  • Projected duration: 3 months + potential for permanent placement
  • Job code: CVDJP

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist with a minimum of 2 years of experience in blood collection. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with hard sticks and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect and store specimens according to established procedures
  • Properly explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection to patients
  • Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes
  • Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order
  • Package specimens for transport and store them according to required temperature
Requirements:
  • Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed (required in some states)
  • Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • High School Diploma or GED
