Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Design and Engineering team. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will participate in the mechanical discipline of multiple concurrent projects through pursuit, proposal, design, and construction phases. You will support design efforts and assist the engineer of record. Your responsibilities will include designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, working with project teams, and collaborating with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design for available capacity, redundancy, reliability, efficiency, and safety, as well as constructability and cost.
  • Travel to project sites for engineering site surveys, data collection for system studies, system audits, and collaboration with clients' team members.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, building codes, and safety standards such as ASHRAE, ASME, IECC, ANSI, UFC, UBC, as well as international standards such as IEC, CE, EN.
  • Exposure to in design and modeling of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems using software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, Trane Trace).
  • Inter-discipline knowledge of facility systems.
  • Experience developing solutions to complex projects.
  • Perform various system studies (thermal comfort, indoor air quality, humidity control, energy management).
  • Work with designers to develop sealed drawings of your designs.
  • Provide mentoring to junior staff.
Qualifications and Experience
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 8 or more years of relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering.
  • PE Registration.
