Senior Lead Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the mechanical and piping engineering discipline, including leading small to large projects and interacting with clients, sub-contractors, and on-site construction contractors.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of the mechanical and piping engineering discipline, including project planning, execution, and delivery.
- Lead small to large projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks and delivery of high-quality results.
- Interact with clients, sub-contractors, and on-site construction contractors to ensure effective communication and project success.
- Develop and implement engineering solutions to complex problems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Supervise and mentor junior and mid-level mechanical engineers and designers, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Travel for meetings and site visits, as required, with approximately 10% - 15% travel expected.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and stamp in at least one state in the USA, with ability to acquire licenses in other states.
- 7 - 10+ years of related engineering experience in an EPCM or similar company.
- Knowledge and understanding of how the mechanical and piping engineering activities integrate into a complete project.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with customers and vendors.
- Ability to work with administrative supervision and effectively manage multiple and conflicting priorities.
- Understanding of the technical and commercial aspects of the organization's projects and proposals.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and specialized software packages used for mechanical and piping engineering and design.
- Knowledge of relevant industry codes, such as ASME, CEMA, and API.
- MS Degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) from an ABET-accredited program.
- Project Management experience or a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in an engineering consulting environment.
- An up-to-date NCEES record.
- Design-Build project execution experience.
- Experience with metal/mineral mining, oil and gas, industrial water treatment, and municipal facilities projects.
- AutoCAD, Revit, or other design program competence.
