Career Orientation and Development Program

At American Woodmark, we are committed to providing our new hires with a comprehensive training program that sets them up for success in their careers. Our Career Orientation and Development (COD) program is designed to give new graduates a jump-start on their career, providing them with hands-on experience and exposure to the entire American Woodmark organization.

Program Overview

The COD program is a salaried new hire training program that lasts for several weeks. During this time, participants will spend time at our corporate office for orientation and training, followed by a series of rotations through different departments and locations to gain a deeper understanding of our business processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in a comprehensive training program that covers all aspects of the American Woodmark organization
  • Gain hands-on experience in various departments and locations
  • Develop relationships with current employees and managers
  • Acquire necessary technological and professional skills
  • Document processes and create presentations for team members
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree with a class rank above 20% and/or a GPA of 3.0 from an approved accredited college/university
  • Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills
  • Energy and focus to be goals and results-oriented
  • Drive, determination, and discipline of a self-starter
  • Possess a valid and current driver's license within the United States and maintain a satisfactory driving history
