Actively contributes to improving departmental metrics related to turnover, retention, and employee engagement. SERVICE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Independently delivers assistant-level care to surgical patients within established guidelines. Prepares the surgical environment by adhering to sterile techniques and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Manages workflow effectively, prioritizing multiple tasks and addressing higher-level issues as they arise. Assists in transporting patients and preparing them for surgical procedures, while ensuring the safe handling of specimens and other materials. Monitors and maintains adequate supplies for surgical operations, including gowns, masks, and cleaning materials. Exemplifies accountability and professionalism, contributing to enhanced patient satisfaction scores. QUALITY/SAFETY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Reports observations and conditions of patients to licensed personnel to ensure desired outcomes. Upholds patient privacy and safety at all times. Participates in identifying corrective actions and improvement initiatives that impact quality and safety metrics. FINANCE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Utilizes resources judiciously, minimizing waste and managing time effectively to prioritize daily responsibilities. GROWTH/INNOVATION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Supports the development of team members by fostering a constructive learning environment aligned with departmental goals. Contributes innovative ideas through participation in performance improvement projects and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent education. WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two years in a Perioperative Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Assistant role, or a Graduate Nurse preparing for RN licensure. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS - REQUIRED
BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) certification.

Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to fulfill job responsibilities, particularly those impacting patient safety.
