Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our hospital's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including air balancing, temperature control calibration, and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Install, replace, and upgrade HVAC equipment, including air handlers, chillers, and boilers.
  • Conduct energy audits and implement energy-saving measures to reduce our hospital's energy consumption.
  • Collaborate with our facilities team to ensure that all HVAC systems are functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of our HVAC equipment.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Certification by an Environmental Protection Agency-approved technician certification program required.
  • Current CFC certification or obtained within the first 120 days of employment.
