Position Overview:

The Learning Experience - Columbus Circle is seeking a dedicated Infant/Toddler Educator to foster a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children.

Compensation: Hourly rate of $20.00-$24.00

Role Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Leadership: Design and maintain an engaging and welcoming space for children to learn and grow.
  • Curriculum Implementation: Effectively deliver our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum, tailored to the unique needs of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
  • Safety First: Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
  • Family Communication: Keep parents informed about their child's progress through various communication methods.
  • Center Collaboration: Work collaboratively with center staff to achieve retention and engagement goals.
  • Relationship Builder: Develop strong relationships with families and colleagues to create a harmonious learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role, including a High School Diploma/GED; ECE coursework preferred.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Experience in a childcare setting with a focus on classroom leadership.
  • Compliance with state and federal guidelines, including health and safety training.

Caregiving Skills:

  • Ability to identify and mitigate potential risks in a childcare setting.
  • Ensure children's basic needs are met, including diapering, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
  • Encourage good social skills and positive interactions among children.
  • Keep children engaged in developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Exhibit patience, professionalism, and composure at all times.

Physical Resilience:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to reach, stretch, climb, and maintain alertness throughout the day.
