About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team at Tom Bell Chevrolet. As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Data Management: Compile and verify payroll data, including hours worked, sales volume, bonuses, and commissions, from time sheets and other records.
  • Master Payroll Records: Update and maintain master payroll records, verifying changes affecting net wages, such as tax exemptions, insurance coverage, and compensation increases.
  • Workers' Compensation: Process calculations and report injuries for Workers' Comp reporting log and accounting/payments.
  • 401K Administration: Submit and balance 401K payments, process loans, and assist with yearly audits.
  • Unemployment Claims: Handle unemployment claims and monitor time cards for discrepancies.
  • Payroll Processing: Prepare and issue paychecks, keep records of leave pay and nontaxable wages, and prepare periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records for vacations and sick-day eligibility, and process employee insurance forms and payments in coordination with the office manager.
Requirements
  • Automotive Experience: Previous experience in the automotive industry is required.
  • Payroll Experience: Previous payroll experience is required.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organization, documentation skills, and attention to detail are essential.
  • Interpretation of Employment Law: Ability to interpret Employment Law (Federal and State) and general HR policies.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively throughout the organization, both in person and through written correspondence and presentations.
  • Computer Literacy: Computer-literate and able to learn Company software.
  • Driver's License: Clean and valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
