Job Summary

The St. Louis County, MO is seeking a highly skilled Nutrition Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Public Health Department, you will be responsible for providing nutritional services to our patients, including nutritional counseling and developing and presenting nutrition education programs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide nutritional assessment and medical nutrition therapy based on assessed needs to Health Center patients.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
Participate in DPH clinical programs as part of a patient-centered, team approach to healthcare.
Certify qualified patients for the WIC program, including nutrition assessment, nutrition counseling, referral to appropriate resources, and issuance of food benefits.
Develop and implement nutrition presentations/programs for patients and the community.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health Nutrition, Human Nutrition Dietetics, or a directly related field, whose program or curriculum is accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Registration as a Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Licensure as a licensed dietitian with the State of Missouri.
A current valid driver's license.
