We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Academic Coach to join our team at Northampton Community College. As an Academic Coach, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve success in college by providing one-on-one support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with students to discuss their academic goals and develop personalized plans to achieve success
  • Provide guidance on academic skills, study strategies, time management, and overcoming academic challenges
  • Facilitate group workshops and collaborate with faculty and staff to support student success
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance coaching skills

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred)
  • Previous experience in academic coaching, advising, tutoring, teaching, counseling, or a related field
  • Knowledge of common challenges faced by community college students and student learning and development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine desire to help others learn and achieve success
