Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Duties
- Execute the make-ready process for vacant units as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager.
- Provide 24-hour emergency maintenance services as scheduled.
- Carry a mobile device for on-call maintenance responsibilities.
- Oversee and maintain all building systems as assigned.
- Perform grounds maintenance tasks, including litter removal, curb cleaning, and landscaping upkeep.
- Report any unusual occurrences or damages to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
- Complete payroll documentation and mileage reimbursement as required.
- Maintain a professional demeanor with residents, vendors, contractors, and colleagues.
- Adhere to safety standards in compliance with company policies and local regulations.
- Ensure all work-related activities are conducted ethically and consistently.
- Follow established company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Engage in special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting.
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance are required.
- High School Diploma or GED is necessary.
- Successful completion of a background check is mandatory.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills with staff, tenants, and external vendors.
- Physical ability to lift and carry weights ranging from 10 to 100 pounds as needed.
- Conduct all activities in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
