Position Overview

Tower Health is currently seeking a dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for our Intensive Care Unit, specializing in the care of critically ill children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team of experienced Physicians and Nurse Practitioners to provide exceptional care.
  • Participate in 24/7 coverage with flexible shift patterns, including daytime and overnight hours.
  • Be prepared for weekend and holiday responsibilities, typically covering one Friday, Saturday, and Sunday each month.
  • Engage in on-call duties, with a minimum expectation of 6 calls monthly, adapting to the unit's needs.
  • Exercise a high degree of autonomy in clinical decision-making and management of complex pediatric conditions.
  • Provide leadership and support to the interdisciplinary team within the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, contributing to research and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform essential procedures such as endotracheal intubation, arterial and central venous line placements, chest tube insertions, bedside procedural sedation, and spinal taps.
