Position Overview:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Analyst II plays a crucial role in enhancing the financial health of the organization. This position involves assisting with monthly and yearly financial closing processes, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial performance, and reconciling general ledger accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gathering and evaluating operational data for Wipfli LLP and Consolidated Financial Reporting.
  • Preparing monthly adjusting journal entries and accrual entries.
  • Conducting monthly general ledger account reconciliations and analyses.
  • Identifying and monitoring variances in revenue and expense items.
  • Performing detailed revenue analysis against budget and forecasts by service line and market.
  • Providing comprehensive analysis and explanations for work in progress (WIP) and accounts receivable (AR) write-offs.
  • Developing financial statements and reports tailored to the needs of the firm and its partners.
  • Reconciling financial statements with supporting documentation.
  • Approving accounts payable invoice GL coding.
  • Addressing various partnership requests.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning, and analysis, or similar fields.
  • Familiarity with Workday financial systems.
  • Proficient in Excel and financial modeling.
  • CPA or CMA certification is advantageous.
  • Strong business acumen and a desire to learn.

Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated salary range for this role is $50,000 - $82,000, influenced by various factors such as location, skills, experience, and business needs. Eligible candidates may also receive an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and firm performance.
