About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Therapy Development Specialist to join our team at OrthoNebraska. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a critical role in promoting ongoing professional development of therapy staff.


Job Description

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of therapeutic interventions targeting orthopedic diagnoses of the Upper Extremity. You will serve as a role model, consultant, and mentor in skill development, utilizing various educational delivery methods to advance treatments that achieve unparalleled outcomes across the Upper Extremity orthopedic patient populations.

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. The schedule will be days/evenings, 32-40 hours per week, with opportunities for career growth and professional development.


Responsibilities
  • Provide and supervise quality patient care by following established guidelines, dedicating approximately 30 hours per week to patient care (for 1.0 FTE).
  • Monitor performance of all levels of therapy staff through data collection, coaching, education, and role modeling to ensure ongoing performance improvement.
  • Problem solve and make decisions within your area of accountability to ensure effective and efficient patient care.
  • Maintain departmental records of training programs and facilitate progression of staff along clinical development pathways.

Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved physical therapy or occupational therapy program, licensed or licensure eligible in Nebraska and/or Iowa.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Advanced certifications and training preferred, including OCS, SCS, FAAOMPT, CHT, Cert MDT, NIOMPT, PRC, or similar.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a physical or occupational therapist in an outpatient environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to problem solve, instruct, and collaborate with others.
