Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Professional to join our team at Air Mechanical Inc. As an Accounting Professional, you will be responsible for assisting the CFO with the day-to-day operations of our business office, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex accounting tasks and apply accepted accounting procedures/processes in preparing and maintaining accounting and payroll records.
  • Monitor Accounts Payable and routinely resolve any accounts discrepancies.
  • Monitor Accounts Receivable and manage collection efforts for past due accounts.
  • Submit daily deposit transmittals for checks received.
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed assets schedules.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, cash accounts, and credit card statements monthly.
  • Prepare journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with GAAP.
  • Reconcile and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close.
  • Prepare sales and use tax.
  • Assist in preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
  • Participate in and support accurate month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting close cycles and development of subsequent internal and external financial statements.
  • Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits.
Requirements
  • 2+ Years of Accounting experience or a bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
  • Strong experience and thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.
  • Strong communication, technology, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional work Ethic: Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Familiar with accounting software—Intacct, File Maker and Service Titan software is helpful, but not required.
  • High level of proficiency in MS Excel & Outlook.
Work Environment

This position requires interaction with people in an office environment. Work requires sitting, handling/grasping, and repetitive motions for long periods of time. Communication is required to perform this job. Must be able to communicate over the phone, over email, and in person.
