About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Dining Room Host Supervisor to join our team at 1906 at Longwood Gardens. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the dining room, ensuring that all guests feel valued and appreciated.
  • Supervise food-service associates, providing guidance and support to ensure proper customer service, food handling, and sanitation procedures are followed.
  • Train new team members, focusing on excellent communication skills, flexibility, and patience.
  • Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared by guests.
  • Supervise the closing of the assigned dining room, ensuring side work and station setup are properly completed.
  • Assist with service, including occasional bussing and food service, while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with staff from other departments to perform job duties and during special events or functions.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the hospitality industry.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
