Direct Support Professional/Employment Specialist

Gesher Human Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional/Employment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Vocational Services department, you will play a vital role in helping adults with disabilities achieve long-term success and fulfillment in work and life.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement activities that promote a healthy, active, and socially integrated lifestyle for individuals with disabilities.
- Provide training and support to maximize individuals' capabilities while promoting inclusiveness in the local community.
- Use behavior modification, task analysis, data collection, and recording techniques to implement goal-related services.
- Assist individuals with personal care, hygiene, and grooming as needed.
- Review progress and work with navigators to develop and/or revise program goals.
- Valid Michigan driver's license.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Work experience with individuals with developmental, emotional, and/or physical impairments preferred.
- Moderate noise levels.
- Ability to work in a confined area.
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods.
