Position Summary:

As a Photovoltaic System Technician, you will collaborate closely with seasoned experts in the field. Your responsibilities will include leading teams, coordinating with area managers, maintaining customer installation records, facilitating communication among installation crews, and managing customer installation documentation and photographs. You will also work with teams to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and install solar panels on rooftops and various structures.
  • Configure photovoltaic systems according to site-specific conditions and customer requirements; connect systems to the electrical grid.
  • Adhere to building codes and standards during installation.
  • Inspect electrical installations and wiring for compliance and safety.
  • Conduct voltage tests and calibrate systems to ensure they operate within acceptable limits.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly weatherproofed.
  • Perform routine maintenance on photovoltaic systems.
  • Carry out additional related tasks as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of photovoltaic equipment and installation techniques.
  • Strong understanding of electrical wiring and associated equipment.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to interpret building plans and equipment manuals.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools for photovoltaic panel installation.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Vocational or technical training is preferred.
  • Prior relevant experience is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work at significant heights.
  • Capacity for prolonged kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
