The role involves the preparation of loan documentation for the underwriting process, ensuring that all submissions are complete and accurate. This position serves as a critical link between the lender/client and various internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare loan files for the underwriting phase.
- Verify that all necessary fields in the loan management system are filled out correctly.
- Re-disclose relevant documents in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain daily communication with Loan Account Managers and Account Executives.
- Act as a liaison among the lender/client, underwriter, and account executive.
- Identify and resolve any issues that arise, escalating to the Operations Manager when necessary.
- Assist in managing the loan pipeline effectively.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Required Education
- High School Diploma
Preferred Education
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
Experience and Skills
- Experience in processing or a related department is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with Loan Origination Systems is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Understanding of mortgage banking practices.
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
