Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of patient care plans, providing counseling and education to patients and their families.\
  • Order laboratory and diagnostic studies as necessary, interpreting results and making informed treatment decisions.\
  • Prescribe medications and treatments, referring patients to specialists when indicated.\
  • Document patient progress through detailed notes and summaries.\
  • Participate in patient care rounds and conferences, collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure effective care coordination.\
  • Communicate patient management strategies to colleagues, contributing to a culture of excellence.\
  • Pursue ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advances in medicine.\
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for growth and implementing changes to enhance patient outcomes.\\

Requirements

  • \
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited institution.\
  • Board certification or eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine.\
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in Louisiana.\
  • Valid DEA license.\\
