Overview:
A Registered Professional Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering patient care through comprehensive processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
This role involves prescribing, delegating, coordinating, supervising, and assessing patient education and the activities of support nursing staff while upholding the standards of professional nursing practice.
The Registered Nurse is equipped to provide both direct and indirect patient care.Qualifications:
A. Education/Skills
Completion of a State Board School of Nursing or an equivalent program.
B. Experience
Preferred experience of six (6) months in a relevant setting.
C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas.
AHA BLS certification – to be obtained within two (2) weeks of employment
ACLS certification – required within eight (8) weeks of employment
Completion of Arrhythmia Recognition Course – within eight (8) weeks of employment
