Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and friendly Host/Hostess to join our team at Greensboro Country Club. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting and seating members and their guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Reception: Provide a warm and professional welcome to members and their guests, ensuring a positive atmosphere.
  • Seating and Reservations: Efficiently seat guests according to their preferences and availability, managing reservation systems and waitlists to ensure smooth seating operations.
  • Customer Service: Address member inquiries, concerns, and special requests with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring all guests receive prompt and attentive service.
  • Communication: Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure timely and accurate service, relaying important information between members and staff.
  • Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized host area, ensuring menus and other materials are in good condition and readily available.
  • Problem Resolution: Handle guest complaints or issues with empathy and resolve them in a manner that ensures guest satisfaction.
  • Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required. Experience in customer service is a plus.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Attributes: Friendly, outgoing personality with a strong focus on customer service, ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Capable of lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds
