Job Summary

The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Anatomy and Gross Anatomy Professor to join our faculty. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for teaching small group and virtual gross anatomy laboratory instruction to osteopathic medical students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a content expert in the field of anatomy and gross anatomy
  • Facilitate problem-based learning (PBL) sessions and provide examination questions for PBL exams
  • Instruct graduate students in anatomy and gross anatomy
  • Interview prospective candidates for the College of Medicine
  • Advise and mentor assigned students
  • Serve on committees as assigned
  • Contribute to the development of the college through research and service
Requirements
  • Doctorate level of achievement (Ph.D., D.O., M.D., D.C. or Ed D)
  • 2-5 years' experience as a subject matter expert in anatomy and gross anatomy
  • Relevant experience in cadaveric dissection, virtual lab teaching, and/or teaching gross anatomy, embryology, histology, and neuroanatomy to graduate and medical students
Preferred Qualifications
  • Progressive and innovative teaching philosophy
  • Previous experience in a small group teaching or facilitating environment
  • Strong desire to foster learning in an innovative curriculum
  • Ability to contribute to the development of the college through research and service
