Sensient Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Process Chemist III to lead the optimization and standardization of new and existing manufacturing processes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for achieving maximum quality and yield at the lowest manufacturing costs through in-depth process studies and implementation of best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Process Optimization: Optimize manufacturing processes to achieve the lowest cost while maintaining high quality.
- Yield and Raw Material Management: Continuously monitor yield and raw material usage, taking action on issues that arise.
- Troubleshooting: Assist operations and quality in troubleshooting process problems.
- New Product/Process Introduction: Serve as a manufacturing representative on new product/process introductions and function as a liaison between production and R&D.
- Raw Material Evaluation: Evaluate the impact of raw material from new suppliers prior to introduction into existing processes.
- Quality Improvement: Lead or serve as a key member on assigned quality improvement teams.
- Training and Development: Train operations and quality team members when required.
- Education: M.S. or B.S. Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience: 5+ years of industry experience.
- Skills: Proven troubleshooting record with emphasis on root cause analysis and cost/benefit evaluation.
- Industry Experience: Food/Pharmaceutical or other FDA-regulated industry experience is a plus.
