Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Lead Software Platform Engineer to join our team at DMS Vision Inc. as a CDN Platform Engineer (Onsite) in Buffalo Grove, IL. This is a relocation opportunity, and the ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our highly scalable CDN platform and ensuring seamless flow of requests through VCL configurations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain our CDN platform, ensuring high scalability and performance.
  • Develop and implement VCL configurations to optimize request flow and reduce latency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to write and deliver/maintain code and CDN platform.
  • Participate in discussions with stakeholders from Product and Teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Utilize strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in CDN and VCL technologies.

Requirements:

  • 6 years of IT/Digital software development experience in Java/JavaScript/UI and UNIX background.
  • Expertise with Fastly/VCL for day-to-day CDN needs.
  • 3 years of experience with Terraform for automation needs.
  • Proficient in Node.js/Python programming languages.
  • Excellent understanding of networking fundamentals for troubleshooting and handling CDN activities.
  • Good understanding of CICD pipelines and Version controls (GitOps).
  • Experience with agile development required, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experienced preferred.
