Job Description

The Mechanical Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting upgrades and development of existing packaging equipment and specifying new manufacturing equipment within the Precision Dose facility.

Packaging equipment includes fill/seal equipment, blister fillers, cartoners, and labeling equipment.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic industry
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred

The Mechanical Project Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Managing projects of varying size and complexity related to pharmaceutical packaging equipment
  • Performing new equipment justification and setting project budgets
  • Determining whether to manufacture in-house or utilize integrators, based on size and complexity of project
  • Setting project schedules and ensuring deadlines and budgets are being met
  • Defining and executing experiments and factory acceptance tests as required
  • Creating user requirement specifications, equipment change control documentation, bid documents, and testing requirements
  • Creating drawings and bills of material packages as needed
  • Reviewing vendor quotations and participating in vendor selection
  • May creating and executing validation documents

The starting wage for this position is $40 per hour.
