Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Dermatology Mohs Assistant. As a key member of our dermatology department, you will assist the Mohs surgeon during procedures, ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of equipment, and provide hands-on assistance with wound closures and lab processing. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced surgeons and medical staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. Key responsibilities will include setting up procedure rooms, assisting with instrument handling, preparing specimens for pathology, and maintaining accurate records. Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent, a certified medical assistant license (IC or CM), and experience working in an ambulatory care setting. You should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A basic life support certification is also required.
Physical Demands
This role requires frequent walking, standing, reaching, and lifting. You may be required to push or pull equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift heavier loads with assistance. It is essential to maintain a safe working environment and adhere to universal precautions when handling specimens and instruments.
