Your Role
As a Purchasing Agent/Certified Technician, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement and distribution of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ordering, receiving, and distributing medications and supplies to meet the operational needs of the organization.
- Utilizing various software systems for data entry, inventory control, and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Supporting the 340B procurement program by tracking usage and managing virtual inventory.
- Preparing medication orders and ensuring the selection of cost-effective products.
- Maintaining accurate records and resolving discrepancies with vendors.
- Training and orienting new staff as needed.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; additional education is preferred.
- Experience in a pharmacy setting, with knowledge of purchasing and inventory management.
- A valid Certified Pharmacy Technician credential.
