Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and service. Our pharmacy technicians are the face of our pharmacy, interacting with customers and developing strong relationships with our patients.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician. In this role, you will assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including filling prescriptions, verifying medication, and maintaining accurate records.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing the latest technology to provide excellent patient care. You will also have the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive and collaborative team environment.

We offer a comprehensive training program for our Pharmacy Technicians, which includes certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Our program is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in this role and advance your career in the pharmacy industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including filling prescriptions, verifying medication, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, interacting with patients and customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Develop strong relationships with patients and customers, providing personalized care and support.
  • Utilize technology to provide excellent patient care, including pharmacy systems and software.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including prescription records and inventory management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6 months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
  • PTCB certification preferred.
  • Good math skills and attention to detail required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
