Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) certification or Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Education for Pre-hospital Professional (PEPP) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • National Registry or Florida Department of Health Paramedic License
Working Conditions

The Paramedic will work in a fast-paced environment, responding to emergency calls and working in a variety of settings, including outdoors and indoors. The employee must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and patients, and work in a mobile environment.

Physical Requirements

The employee must be able to perform the following physical demands:

  • Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel
  • Regularly reach with hands and arms
  • Regularly talk or hear
  • Frequently stand and walk
  • Occasionally sit, climb, or balance
  • Occasionally step, stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • Frequently lift and/or carry a minimum of 125 pounds up to 200 pounds
