About the Position

This is an entry-level professional staff work performed to address the healthcare needs of target populations using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the healthcare needs/requirements of target populations
  • Develop comprehensive nursing care plans for clients/patients
  • Implement/adjust comprehensive nursing care plans for clients/patients
  • Evaluate the status/condition/progress of the patient and take appropriate action
  • Counsel patients from target populations about healthcare needs
  • Make visits to clients/patients in their homes or other settings
  • Participate in meetings/workshops/training sessions/conferences
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and retrievable charts/records/data/statistics/logs/files in order to document healthcare services provided
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school, college, university or an equivalent program with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related health field
  • Possession of a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland issued by the Maryland State Board of Nursing at the time of appointment
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered
