Job Summary

KBR is seeking a highly experienced Software Development Engineer to lead the development of training device software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, Agile methodologies, and experience leading teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement software for training devices, utilizing Agile methodologies to ensure rapid iteration and delivery.
  • Lead a team of software developers to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Analyze customer requirements and translate them into software design and development plans.
  • Evaluate vendor software and make recommendations for implementation.
  • Utilize software containerization and virtualization, including Docker and Kubernetes.

Requirements

  • At least 20 years of experience in software development and leading Agile software development teams.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Analytics-Software Development, or an acceptable equivalent degree from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Experience in creating and reviewing software development cost, schedule, and staffing estimates.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of SDLC phases and methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and others.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies.
  • Understanding of software cost methodologies and ability to evaluate development cost proposals.
  • Proficiency in algorithms and data structures.
  • Experience with software testing frameworks and quality assurance processes.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance is required.
