Position Summary:
The Automotive Technician operates at a skilled level, capable of diagnosing and repairing a wide range of automotive issues, while also having expertise in specific repair areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently and accurately perform work as detailed on repair orders, adhering to dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Identify the root cause of malfunctions and execute necessary repairs.
- Coordinate with the parts department to procure required components.
- Label and save parts from jobs that are under warranty or upon customer request.
- Inspect assigned vehicles to assess if additional safety or service work is needed.
- Promptly inform the service advisor of any additional work required, unnecessary repairs, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised timeframe.
- Document all performed and recommended work on the repair order.
- Conduct road tests on vehicles when necessary or refer to a designated test technician.
- Complete other assigned tasks as needed.

Required Certifications and Licenses:
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications
- Manufacturer-Specific Training
- State Emission Certification
- State Vehicle Inspector Certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug testing
