We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while utilizing the nursing process and maintaining professional nursing standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate patient physical, psychosocial, environmental, spiritual, social, and educational needs, documenting patient/family responses to nursing interventions.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, including discharge plans, based on standards of nursing practice, health center policy, and patient/family needs.
- Provide daily direction and guidance to Licensed Practical Nurses and Nurse Assistants.
- Effectively communicate patient changes/conditions to colleagues and multidisciplinary caregivers.
- Attend and participate in departmental/organizational meetings, in-services, and educational opportunities.
- Associate Degree in Nursing or graduate from an accredited RN program required.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Previous experience in acute care preferred, one year preferred.
