Healthcare Liaison

Job Summary:
The MetroHealth System is seeking a skilled Healthcare Liaison to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for telephonically enrolling, registering, and scheduling appointments for primary care patients into The MetroHealth System (MHS). You will also process prescription refill requests, provide general telephone-based support to MyChart users, and obtain feedback for providers. Your primary goal will be to uphold the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Responsibilities:
- Telephonically enroll, register, and schedule appointments for primary care patients into MHS
- Process prescription refill requests
- Provide general telephone-based support to MyChart users
- Obtain feedback for providers and send patient requests to clinics throughout MHS
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam
- 1 year of experience with call center support, patient registration, scheduling, assisting healthcare professionals and patients, and/or utilizing phones and computers to perform customer service duties in a high-volume environment
- Customer-centric mentality with strong customer service experience
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to communicate with a variety of individuals and disciplines
- Solid organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and within a structured environment with a high degree of flexibility
- Demonstrated PC proficiency, including the ability to enter data into a PC while talking on the phone
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluency in writing, speaking, and interpreting both English and Spanish
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of EPIC
- Experience in sales
Physical Requirements:
- May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day
- May need to sit or stand for extended periods
- See in the normal visual range with or without correction
- Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction, including hearing clearly via a phone headset
- Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required
- May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion
