The Maintenance Tech III is a key member of our production team, responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our process production equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems with production equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including inspections, lubrication, filter changes, and proactive parts replacements.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment to replace broken or defective parts.
- Service equipment powered by 24VDC, 120VAC, and 480VAC, 3-phase power systems.
- Replace electrical components, such as AC and DC drives, PLCs, relays, E-Ps, motors, and starters.
- Utilize laptop PCs to connect to PLCs and diagnose production equipment problems.
- Diagnose AC and DC drive problems using HIMs and laptop PCs.
- Maintain pneumatics and hydraulic systems.
- Document all repair activities in the SAP Plant Maintenance module to maintain an accurate equipment history.
- Associates Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering Technology, Industrial Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred.
- Relevant Military training or work experience will be considered in lieu of education.
- 3-5 years relevant industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment, including troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment, such as multimeters, clamp-on ammeters, meggers, and process calibrators.
