Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at US Foods. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for safely and accurately selecting customer orders, building and wrapping pallets, and performing pre-shift equipment checks.

Main Responsibilities
  • Safety and Accuracy: Safely and accurately select customer orders, ensuring that products are correctly identified and damage-free.
  • Pallet Building and Wrapping: Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy.
  • Equipment Operation: Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet jack.
  • Product Movement: Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment.
  • Order Delivery: Efficiently deliver products to the correct dock area and shrink wrap palletized orders.
  • Aisle Maintenance: Team up to clear aisles of debris, stack empty pallets from slots in the aisle, and return pallet jacks to the charging area.
Physical Requirements
  • Temperature Range: Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively, moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift.
Requirements
  • Communication: Must be able to read and communicate in the English language, such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed.
  • Availability: Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday – Thursday, with occasional weekends and holidays required.
  • Experience: Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred, such as lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
  • Warehouse Experience: Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred.
  • Equipment Operation: Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred.
