Job Description

The Family Medicine Residency Associate Program Director will be responsible for assisting the Program Director in leading and overseeing the Family Medicine Residency Program. This role requires direct involvement in patient care, including continuous supervision, mentoring, and teaching of residents. The ideal candidate will have experience providing patient care in an underserved area and be bilingual (English/Spanish).

Responsibilities include participating in academic societies and educational programs, developing innovative curriculum, and collaborating with the Program Director on program development and continuous improvement. The associate program director will also assist with resident evaluation processes, scholarly and quality improvement projects, and education research and demonstration projects.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD or DO) degree and be certified with the American Board of Family Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. A valid and unrestricted medical license from the State of California and a current DEA number are also required.
