About Hillel International:

Hillel International is a dynamic organization that is seeking an innovative and strategic Research Director to lead our research efforts. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of applied research and be able to distill key takeaways into actionable insights that impact business decisions.

This role will be critical in advancing Hillel's vision by leveraging current research to ensure we truly understand the most impactful way to inspire our students to make an enduring commitment to Jewish life, learning, and Israel.

The Research Director will work across the organization to develop and implement research projects that inform our strategic direction. This position is fully remote for candidates based and authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategic research agenda that aligns with Hillel's mission and goals.
  • Lead the implementation of research projects and ensure timely delivery of results.
  • Analyze data and translate it into actionable insights or recommendations that can be used to inform the organization's strategy.
  • Build trusting relationships with researchers at partner organizations and stay up-to-date on relevant research.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate findings and ensure that Hillel is aware of new studies and how those learnings might impact our own research agenda.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's or advanced degree preferred; At least eight years of professional experience, including a minimum of five years of prior research experience.
  • A deep understanding of applied research and the ability to analyze and synthesize information.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary: $145,000 - $170,000 per year.
